I hope this letter finds you well! We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding Dr. Shoemaker and our practice here at The Gynecology Center.

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to transition to a cash-pay-only model and will no longer be accepting insurance. This change will take effect on April 7^th, 2025.

We want to assure you that we have not come to this decision lightly. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality of care and a more streamlined experience without the administrative complexities often associated with insurance billing.

By moving to a cash-pay model, we will be able to:

• Reduce wait times for appointments and treatments
• Offer greater flexibility in our services
• Provide transparent pricing with no unexpected hidden fees or surprise bills

New patients will be charged a $1,250 membership fee. This fee will include the first 3 visits with Dr. Shoemaker and the privilege of joining our practice as a patient.

Current patients will continue to receive care at our practice and will be provided with competitive pricing options for services. The cost of a visit with Dr. Shoemaker will be between $220 and $420, should you need to have an ultrasound, in office procedure or surgery we can provide those fees to you as well.

We do offer Care Credit to help with payment. We will also provide you a statement which you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

We want to support you during this transition and will work with you to find solutions that meet your healthcare needs. We understand that this change may come as a surprise, and we encourage you to please reach out with any questions or concerns. We are here to assist you and ensure a smooth transition.
